Grizabella is an old and dilapidated cat that was once a part of the Jellicle tribe. She was once young and beautiful and curious. She wanted to explore the world outside the junkyard. After she had this great life she wants to come back to the tribe, but in the tribe they don't let her in, or they're too afraid to, she tries to come back plenty of times , the older cats already knew her, but the kittens didn't and wanted to accept her but Victoria, this young and clear-hearted cat took the courage, although she and the kittens tried plenty of times before, to do it and Finally, on her last attempt, Grizabella pleads with the cats to accept her. In her singing ofMemory she explains to the others what she has been through. She collapses on the ground and Jemima's singing gives her the strength to stand and finish singing. Jemima reminds her of when she was young and beautiful, too.
About her, being in the musical, she's extremely important, she's part of one of the two main histories of the show and she sings ''MEMORY''.
About her family, she may be related to some of the cats in the tribe, but I'm not shure who could be.
About her mate, I don't know, some people say Gus, because both of them had great past and now they're kinda wasted, but I'm not shure if he even knows her! Maybe he does, he's really old.
Who gave life to this character in the 98's film was ELAINE PAGE (the Orginal 81's London Producton she was Grisabella)
